Kortn’s Crib: Video tour of our Airbnb in Port Dickson, Malaysia

Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia.

90 degrees, sunny, humid – again.

Such is the situation for us Earth Vagabonds (including my visiting mom) this February.

Seaside Port Dickson is barely an hour drive from Kuala Lumpur (KL)– Malaysia’s capital city and a mega-metropolis of an estimated 8.8 million residents.

Port Dickson is also the place where ferry boats depart daily; crossing the Strait of Malacca to Sumatra, Indonesia.

We will be making that crossing later this month. But for now we are calling this place home.

The video below is another edition of ‘Kortn’s crib’ — where we show our accommodations and the price paid. Check out our Port Dickson Airbnb: total cost — $23 per night including monthly discount, taxes and Airbnb fees.

As the video shows, our place is clean and comfortable and plenty spacious for three people. We are especially glad to have the air conditioners and ceiling fans.

Some of what you can’t see: the beach is a 10 minute walk away. A retail ‘strip mall’ with stores and restaurants is right outside our condo security gate. And the Port Dickson public bus runs up and down the coastal road every 45 minutes; very handy since we have no other transport (fare 45 cents).

Of course, we enjoy the complex pool, the free Netflix, solid WiFi, weekly cleaning service, and as always – all utilities are included in the rental price.

At $23 per night, we think the place is  great deal. In fact, I’ve noticed the landlord has now raised the price on Airbnb to almost $30 — still a decent value.

Finally, while enjoying our time in Port Dixon, I’m combing Airbnb for more deals through the rest of 2025. We have a general plan to do another 90-day summer stint in Eastern Europe – after a springtime stop-off in Egypt.

Thankfully, as seen in the screen grabs above, despite worldwide inflation, there always seem to be some bargains to be had on Airbnb.

As always, be thankful and generous, happy trails & more beer.

Life is NOW!
